Woohoo! My first post and with a photo!!!
Hello all. Let me introduce myself for those of you who might have stumbled onto this blog with no idea of how you landed here. I'm Janet and I've been making and selling jewelry for years. Put a hammer and some metal in my hand and I know exactly what I want to do with it and how to get it to do what I want. The computer, not so much. If I had thought of it before I started writing this post, I would have found a picture of "The Scream" to insert here to give you an accurate visual of my reaction to repeated attempts at getting my computer to behave and just do what I want it to do! But since I didn't, I'm including this picture of some of my jewelry piled in a heap. You may recognize this alternate eye-ful from the banner of my new Etsy store anvilartifacts.etsy.com I'm planning to give a sneak peek of my new work here before I list it. So if you like what you see above, please check back from time to time.
I couldn't have gotten this blog off the ground without the help of my etsy-buds.
Marina of fancifuldevices.etsy.com provided helpful personalized tutorials that were a life-saver! I call them "Fanci's all things Etsy and Blogger FAQ's for Dummies" Thank you Marina for ALL of your patience, help and humor, and for so generously sharing it with me.
Petra of jewelidentity.etsy.com has also been incredibly helpful and supportive. Thank you for the numerous suggestions, answers and your always positive outlook. I really appreciate it.
I especially want to thank my husband, the computer genius, who prefers to remain nameless, and who I wanted to impress by having all of this set up with absolutely no help from him whatsoever. Hahahahahaahahahahahaah. Thank you, brains of this outfit, for actually getting all of this to work and look so wonderful. When I say I couldn't have done it without him, he knows I truly mean it. (See "The Scream" reference above.) Thank you for so patiently and pleasantly hanging in there until we got it just right. You're a dream.
Thanks to Kat and Melissa and Corla and everyone else who weighed in on the new name. Hope you all like it.
